young associates
The China Institute Young Associates is comprised of a diverse group of young philanthropic professionals in their 20's and 30's from the New York Tri-State Area. Young Associates support and celebrate the Institute's mission of advancing a deeper understanding of China through programs in education, culture, business and art in the belief that cross-cultural understanding strengthens our global community. The Young Associates aim to create and sustain a vibrant network of long-term members who will continue to support the mission of China Institute and grow the programs and offerings. Young Associates members participate in specially arranged social, educational and professional development events geared towards young professionals. These events offer an intimate view of Chinese culture, current exhibitions at China Institute Gallery and educational programs at the Institute. Events have included tea tastings, book discussions, private viewing of Chinese art at Sotheby's, cocktail events in the Institute's Suzhou Scholar's Garden, culinary events, game nights, music performances, film screenings, networking events and speaker series on topics related to China. Young Associates also enjoy complimentary admission to the China Institute Gallery, discounts on programs and courses, invitations to exhibition previews, receptions, and discounts at our Gift Shop. |
